From San Diego travel east on Interstate 8 to the Julian/Cuyamaca exit — take Hwy. 79 north to Julian and west on Hwy. 78. In extreme weather take Santee exit Hwy. 67 north to Hwy. 78 and east through Ramona and Santa Ysabel.

From North San Diego County take either Interstate 5 or 15 to Hwy. 78 east through Ramona and Santa Ysabel; or Hwy 76 east to Hwy 79 south to Santa Ysabel and east on Hwy. 78.

From Orange and LA Counties & point north take Interstate 5 south and follow the North San Diego County directions; or take Interstate 15 south and exit on Hwy. 79 south through Warner Springs to Santa Ysabel and east on Hwy. 78.

From Riverside and San Bernardino take Interstate 15 south or 215 to Interstate 15 south and exit on Hwy. 79 south through Warner Springs to Santa Ysabel and east on Hwy. 78.

From the East take Hwy.78 via Brawley from the south and Blyth from the north through Julian
